Renee Patrone’s love for parties and socializing began at a very young age. Based on those early experiences throughout childhood and early adulthood, she came to realize that the art of entertaining is not just the planning, preparing and hosting … it’s about enjoying your guests! To her it seemed like a natural next step to create Party Host Helpers to help individuals that need hands-on assistance with hosting smaller events at home. We’ve teamed up with Renee and have used Party Host Helpers before and they make events so much easier! Learn more about Renee and this amazing business below.
What Inspired you to start your business?
“I had a love for theater in High School – the idea of seeing something come together from start to finish always intrigued me and the nerves up until the curtain opened kept me feeling alive. Unfortunately my talent only went so far. I started in the PR world and found myself loving events more than writing press releases. I was hitting my head at my day job and wanted to break out so I could take clients dreams and make them a reality on my own.”
What advice would you give a student or aspiring entrepreneur?
“Get your hands dirty. Meet as many people as possible. Be grateful for every single opportunity even if it’s small. It will lead you to bigger things.”
Who do you admire and why?
“To be honest – the CEO’s who manage a household, children and an entire team of employees. I imagine I will be there soon and I have no idea how I am going to pull this all off.”
What is next for your business?
“Next up: more corporate accounts for Party Host Helpers, expanding to more states and developing an international plan.”
What do you think has been your greatest accomplishment thus far?
“Winning 40 under 40 (Philadelphia Business Journal); it helped put me on the map as a serious businesswoman and not just an event planner.”
“I have 2: Nothing good is ever easy, nothing easy is ever good// Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.”
How would you describe your brand in 3 words?
“Sleek, warm, fresh”
